Tyranid Synapse strengthens nearby lesser bioforms. An Ork Waaagh is warned by a red screen and increases enemy pressure. These two revealed faction traits ask you to react to the group, not only the individual target.
A tank and rifle-carrying figures face a dense mass of creatures, with blue pickups across the battlefield.
Synapse changes a nearby group. Waaagh changes battlefield pressure. Identify the cue before choosing your response.
Synapse
Tyranids
Hive Tyrants and other critical bioforms grant nearby Termagants and Hormagaunts Berserk, increasing speed and damage. Kill the Synapse creature to temporarily stun nearby lesser bioforms.

Orks

Watch for The red screen and increasing enemy pressure.
Tyranids: break the Synapse link
Hive Tyrants and other important bioforms emit Synapse. Nearby Termagants and Hormagaunts gain Berserk, increasing speed and damage. Destroying the Synapse creature temporarily stuns the lesser enemies around it. Targeting the emitter changes the threat of an entire cluster.
Orks: react to the red warning
When the screen turns red for an Ork Waaagh, more enemies spawn and enemies become frenzied. Treat the warning as a change in battlefield pressure. Avoid assuming a fixed duration or a predictable trigger; the warning itself is the useful cue.
Faction traits are not every enemy skill
A Rat Ogor’s low-health Warp Fury belongs to that enemy. Bell of Doom’s Warded aura is another specific support ability. Separate these local skills from Synapse and Waaagh when deciding which target is responsible for a sudden difficulty spike.
Stages can change the enemy faction
Crossing Hammerhal’s Stormrift Realmgate changes both the biome and enemy faction. Hobby Table stages can include multiple factions and sometimes mix them at once. Keep watching for the active faction behavior instead of assuming that the first group defines the whole run.
