Warhammer Survivors demo troubleshooting

Fix demo save confusion, check weapon evolutions and missing items, and find the Windows log files for a game bug report.

What happened?

Start a fresh save in the new demo. Earlier demo progress does not transfer to it, and demo progress does not carry into the full game.

Demo saves start fresh

The new demo uses a fresh save. Progress from the earlier demo does not transfer, and demo progress does not carry into the full game. Reinstalling the older demo will not merge its progress into the new one. Use the demo to learn weapon positioning and enemy warnings before starting again in the full game.

A weapon is not evolving

Start with the exact weapon you have equipped. Compare its base and evolved names, and read the requirements in your game before choosing upgrades. When asking for help, include the weapon, passive items and their levels, champion, and universe. A screenshot of the current loadout is more useful than a list remembered after the run.

Exact weapon nameFind its attack and evolution. Heavy Bolter and Heavy Bolter Fidelis are different weapons.
Base → evolved resultMatch the evolution pair, then use the requirements shown in your game.
Champion and universeCheck your champion’s weapon. Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar have separate champion selections.

An item or a question-mark entry is missing

Keep the item name or a screenshot of the hidden entry. Note which champion and universe you are playing and where you expected the item to appear. Check the menus in the demo you installed rather than treating an older demo guide as the current unlock list. For a repeatable missing entry, include these details in a game bug report.

Find the Windows demo logs

The demo keeps two log files: Player.log and Player-prev.log. Copy them before reopening the game, so the files from the problem run remain available. The folder below is for Windows; Steam Deck and other operating systems use different folders.

  1. Open File Explorer and paste the folder path below into the address bar.
  2. Copy Player.log and Player-prev.log into a separate folder.
  3. Keep your save files. Attach the copied logs when reporting the problem.

If the folder is missing, open %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow and look for the Auroch Digital demo folder. Use the folder on your PC; keep save files intact.

Send a useful game bug report

Give the developer a short summary, the steps that trigger the problem, what you expected and what happened. Select your platform, add your computer specifications for PC issues, and attach a screenshot or log files when available. Avoid adding passwords or unrelated personal documents.

Open the developer’s bug report form

Use the form for game bugs. For a mistake on this guide, send a website correction.
